"Reverence"
An interesting synchronicity between Dodge & the B-29...
It was Chrysler Corporation which was tasked with building the Wright Cyclone engines along with the designer Curtis Wright. Most history buffs know that Chrysler built tanks in WWII but few know of the company's involvement with aircraft engines such as the Cyclone.
As you may know there were many problems with the initial design of the Wright Cyclone. Chrysler engineers were vital in curing some of these issues, especially the over heating problem.
By the end of the war the Dodge Chicago plant had produced 18,413 engines, at about half of the estimated program costs!
